Brookhall Trout Fishery is situated on the grounds of Brookhall Historical Farm. The lake is spring fed from a holy well 'which' has a reputation for its healing properties, it never runs dry, even in the hottest summer. Lawrence Finney - Finneys Flies have been produced to tried and tested patterns which have been used on the Rivers, Loughs and Lakes of Ireland.Never the less these flies can be used on waters any where in the world, other patterns are available upon request. http://www.finneysflies.com/
Coarse & Game Fishing
Coarse & Game Fishing can be enjoyed at beautiful and productive locations including Lough Neagh, Stoneyford and Leathemstown Reservoirs, Hillsborough Forest Park Lake and the River Lagan.
Stoneyford is one of the most popular department fisheries and is regularly stocked with up to 10,000 takeable fish and 500 fingerlings (Brown & Rainbow Trout). Early fly fish with lures and streamers is popular.
It is essential however that anglers have both a permit and licence. Season starts on 1st March and ends 31st October
Hillsborough Lake is situated within Hillsborough Forest Park and is well stocked with Rainbow Trout and again it is essential that anglers have both a permit and licence.
Fishing is also available at Broadwater near Aghalee, Lough Erne near Annahilt, Portmore Lough near Lower Ballinderry and Lough Neagh to name just a few.
